A Canadian gold mining company is complaining to Mexican authorities about allegedly rogue miners whose activities have hindered the company's use of access roads.

Animas Resources Ltd. said Thursday it has experienced some delays in certain areas caused by barriers put up on access roads by a group that has been sampling the heaps from the former gold mining operations at Santa Gertrudis (Gold Project).

The company said it notified the authorities about these illegal 'miners' and is taking strong legal action on multiple fronts to resolve this issue.

Shares of Vancouver-based Animas rose 8.82 percent Thursday.
