Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan tweeted early Wednesday announcing that he has become a grandfather to a baby girl.

“I AM DADA (Grandfather) to the cutest baby girl,” wrote the overwhelmed actor.

“A dada ji (Grandfather)...Ecstatic,” he added.

Amitabh Bachchan is the father-in-law of former Miss World and the renowned Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, who gave birth to a baby girl at Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai, India, on Nov. 16, 2011.

The actress is married to Amitabh Bachchan’s son, Abhishek Bachchan, who is also an actor. Abhishek Bachchan, commonly known as “Junior Bachchan” first revealed on Twitter that they are blessed with a baby girl. “It’s a girl,” he wrote.

Abhishek and Aiswarya tied the knot in a traditional Indian wedding ceremony in April 2007. The couple has acted together in four Hindi films together.
