Thursday, the International Monetary Fund, or IMF, reached in an agreement with Serbia for a EUR 3 billion aid package. The 27-month deal replaces EUR 520 million approved earlier this year.

An amount of EUR 2.2 billion will be provided in 2009.

Wednesday, the IMF and other global lenders have announced EUR 20 billion support for Romania to address economic and financial crisis.
