RTTNews - The International Monetary Fund on Thursday approved a US$602.6 million loan for Ghana, in order to help tackle its budget imbalances for achieving macroeconomic stability.

The IMF said the loan was the largest financing package to date for any African country during the current global crisis. The approval will enable an initial amount of US$105.2 million to be disbursed immediately, the lender added.
