Maddie will try to live a normal life in the upcoming Season 2 of Bravo’s “Imposters.”

In a recent interview with Variety, series star Inbar Lavi revealed that viewers will see her character attempting to move on from her life as a con artist at the beginning of the new season. “We left off Season 1 with Maddie going off, desperately craving a new, normal life, and Season 2 picks up with her finding out what that really means to her,” Lavi said.

While Maddie’s decision to quit the con life is an admirable move, living a normal life won’t be easy for her. “I think that when you are as deep into the con life as Maddie is, she barely even trusts herself,” the “Prison Break” star said. “Everyone is a question mark, and that’s a really exhausting place to be. You’ll see a lot of that this season.”

Lavi added that Maddie is tired of the con life, but that doesn’t mean that she’ll be able to give it up so quickly. “I think she’s sick of it, and she’s trying to make a change,” Lavi said of Maddie. “But as we see in life, change is hard. Even if you genuinely want it and make the effort, sometimes it’s hard to get it. There’s going to be a lot of that this season.”

While fans are yet to find out what’s next for the other returning characters — Ezra (Rob Heaps), Richard (Parker Young), Jules (Marianne Rendón), Patrick (Stephen Bishop), Max (Brian Benben), and Lenny Cohen (Uma Thurman) — the series is introducing a bunch of new faces that are expected to complicate the cat-and-mouse game between the con artists and the FBI.

As previously reported, “What's Happening Now!!” alum Anne-Marie Johnson was cast to play the recurring role Gail, a psychologist working at a luxury wellness retreat. “Billions” star Sam Gilroy, meanwhile, was tapped to recur as Michael, Gail’s sweet and well-intentioned co-worker.

“Reign” alum Rachel Skarsten and “Imposters” co-creator Paul Adelstein are also set appear in the new season. Skarsten will play the recurring role of Poppy Langmore, a private school educated elitist and sister to Jules. Adelstein, meanwhile, will appear in multiple episodes as Shelly Cohen, a mysterious fixer who happens to be Lenny’s former husband.

“Imposters” Season 2 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime next year.
