After Beyonce was joined in cheer during her rendition of the national anthem on Monday at the 2013 presidential inauguration, guests, performers and, of course, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle danced the night away.

Jennifer Hudson was among the performers of the night, responsible for serenading the First couple during a cheek-to-cheek dance at the inaugural ball held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Right before the performance, Hudson tweeted: "Right now the President and First Lady will dance to Al Green's 'Let's Stay Together,' to be performed by ... ME!!! Yes! Amazing night!"

Hudson was joined by Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys who sang her hit song “Girl on Fire,” but changed the words to sing "He's the president and he's on fire ... Obama's on fire. Obama's on fire."

The Obamas along with Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill also danced to the Grammy-nominated hit by Fun, “We Are Young.” Music from other artists included Black Violin, Brad Paisley, Far East Movement, John Legend, Katy Perry, Mana, Smokey Robinson, Soundgarden and Usher. The President and First Lady also took a moment to dance with Air Force Staff Sgt. Bria Nelson and Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Timothy Easterling.

Earlier in the day, Beyonce took the stage with her husband Jay-Z nearby to sing the National Anthem to the crowd at the Capitol. Her performance was prefaced by James Taylor singing “America the Beautiful” and Kelly Clarkson’s “My Country ‘Tis of Thee.”
