Friday, the Reserve Bank of India revealed in a report that nation's foreign reserves stood at US$ 253.091 billion as on April 24, up from US$ 252.460 billion as on April 17.

At the same time, gold reserves stood unchanged at US$ 9.577 billion. Foreign currency assets amounted to US$ 242.530 billion, larger than the US$ 241.906 billion recorded in the previous week.

Meanwhile, nation's reserve position with the International Monetary Fund stood at US$ 983 million, up from US$ 976 million in the prior week.
