Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia said that India is surviving the impact of the global economic crisis better than other economies of the world, reported the PTI.

Ahluwalia said that the IMF projects a contraction of global economy by 1.3% this year and hopes that it would recover next year. He added that India would likely report 6% growth this year.

He said that the key aspect now was that the leaders of the G-20 countries should remain committed to ensure that 2010 becomes a recovery year.
