The Indian rupee fell against the US dollar after rising to a 5-week high of 49.7150 during Friday's early Asian trading. The rupee eased to 50.30 against the dollar by about 10:50 pm ET, compared to 50.01 hit late Thursday in New York. Since then the pair has been seeing uncertainty in direction and is now quoted at 50.03.
