India's inflation for the week ended April 4 eased to 0.18% from 0.26% recorded in the previous week, the Ministry of Commerce Industry said Thursday. Economists had expected the rate to fall below 0% and to log minus 0.12%. A year ago, inflation was 7.71% in the corresponding week.
At the same time, the ministry revised inflation figure for the week ended February 7 to 3.69% from 3.92% initially reported.
