MUMBAI - Tata Motors, India's leading vehicle maker, on Wednesday denied it had any interest in acquiring a stake in Indian truck and bus maker Swaraj Mazda.

Last week, the Economic Times reported Tata Motors planned to acquire Japan's Sumitomo Corp's (8053.T) 53.5 percent stake in Swaraj Mazda in a deal worth up to $54 million, to boost its commercial vehicles business. (Reporting by Prashant Mehra; Editing by John Mair)
