RTTNews - Wednesday, the Bank Indonesia decided to lower the key interest rate for seventh consecutive month.

The central bank reduced the BI rate by 25 basis points to 7% as expected. In the statement, the central bank said that inflation at the end of 2009 still remains with the estimated range of 5%-7%.

The central bank added that it will always be cautious about the potential for inflationary pressure in 2010 together with the estimated increase in world commodities' prices.
