Integrated Clinical Care Corp. (ICC) announced yesterday that they signed an agreement with Monar International Inc. (OTCBB: MNAI) for Monar to purchase 100 percent of the shares of ICC.
Integrated Clinical Care Corp. also announced that they were selected to participate in the fifth annual American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Electronic Health Records (EHR) Lab. This will take place June 4 to 6 at the 2011 ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois. ASCO is the world’s leading professional organization representing physicians who care for people with cancer. Integrated Clinical Care Corp. was selected for the second time by ASCO to present their product at the ASCO EHR Lab. Attendees can visit the ASCO EHR Lab at booth number 17101 at the ASCO Annual Meeting.
The ASCO EHR Lab provides a unique opportunity for vendors to demonstrate their EHR to ASCO members and Annual Meeting attendees. This includes highlighting their product’s ability to perform clinical decision support, chemotherapy ordering, and Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) case selection. Visitors to the EHR Lab are able to compare different products. They can do this while gaining hands-on experience with the latest EHR technology.
Mellissa Haemeeling, Integrated Clinical Care Corp.’s Chief Executive Officer, said, “The use of EHRs in oncology has the ability to revolutionize the way that doctors treat patients with cancer. ASCO has identified EHRs as an important vehicle for advancing quality care and recognizes that the software’s success depends on whether they meet the needs of the practices that will be using them on a daily basis. We are thrilled by the opportunity to participate in the EHR Lab at the 2011 ASCO Annual Meeting and to demonstrate first-hand what our system offers to the oncology community.”
Dr. Peter Yu, Chair of ASCO’s Health IT Work Group, said, “ASCO supports the adoption of electronic health records and other technology to improve the quality of cancer care. Among other initiatives, the ASCO EHR Lab is an annual event for oncology professionals to research EHR technology and network with leaders in the field of EHR development. We are excited to host the EHR lab at our upcoming Annual Meeting with Integrated Clinical Care as one of our key vendors.”
