Interest from overseas investors looking for UK property investment opportunities is on the rise, according to one firm. W A Ellis reported that it has seen an increase in the number of enquiries coming in from those keen to take advantage of the low interest rates and weak pound to bolster their real estate portfolios.

The company noted that prime central London properties are "an interesting and financially viable investment prospect," adding that one of the reasons investors are seeking real estate in the city is because it is considered a stable location.

Recent comments from Stephen Dyer, managing director at Ideal Property, back up this assertion. He stated that many international property buyers see the UK's capital as "a safe place," with Chinese investors among those keen to gain entry into the market. Dyer went on to point out that areas such as Kensington, Holland Park and Notting Hill appear to be attracting attention, particularly where high net-worth real estate prospects are concerned.
