The iOS 5 has been released to iOS developers for months and I really love the update. Apple has just announced in the Let's Talk iPhone event that the iOS 5 will be available to general users on Oct 12.
As usual, the update is free for download and you can update it via iTunes. The iOS 5 will support the following devices including:
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 3GS
- iPad 2
- iPod touch (3rd/4th Generation)
According to Apple, the iOS 5 includes over 200 enhancements. The new notification centre, camera shortcut, Wi-Fi sync, Twitter integration are some of the important features to come with the update. To more about iOS 5, you can check out some of our earlier posts:
As a final note for jailbreaker or those who depend on ultrasn0w unlock, please hold off the upgrade even iTunes prompts you on Oct 12.
