Around 600 people lined up outside a store in London Friday afternoon to get their hands on a new iPad 2 tablet computer from Apple.

Within 24 hours the tablet sold out and Apple continued its legacy as the no.1 tablet seller not only in US, but even overseas.

In Australia, official apple stores across the country sold out device and many customers left the store with disappointment. The iPad 2 went on sale in March 25, 2011 in 25 countries.

The list of countries where the iPad 2 launched were Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Norway, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.

Apple estimates to sell more than 40 million iPads this year.
