Apple Inc.'s invitation sent on Tuesday for a March 7 event almost confirms the fact that the company is gearing up to unveil its new iPad 3 (or will it be iPad 2S?). As soon as the news of iPad 3 release hit the market, Apple enthusiasts were back at the rumor mills expecting the launch of a new Apple iTV along with the launch of the iPad 3 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

A report published by 9to5mac referred to reliable sources familiar with Apple's upcoming product release and confirmed that company is launching a new Apple TV alongside the next-generation iPad. Sources have outright said Apple is launching this J33 (the new Apple TV's codename) alongside the new iPad, the site noted.

The 9to5mac report also establishes the fact that Apple will launch at least three variants of its next-generation iPad in March - J1, J2, and J2a (named internally). Moreover, the pre-sales of the iPad 3 would begin on March 7 (most likely the day of the event) or just a few days later, confirms the site.

As of now, we all know that the iPad 3 will be thicker than its predecessor to accommodate several new features. The 9.7-inch iPad 3 will introduce a revolutionary Retina Display featuring a double-resolution screen, 2048×1536 pixels in dimension, with modified IGZO (indium, gallium, zinc) technology that will provide an improved pixel density of 330 ppi. The latest Apple tab will also include improved cameras such as an 8 megapixel back camera as well as a 1.3 MP front camera for video calling and the LTE 4G technology. Other rumors about the new iPad 3 suggest that the device will have a quad-core A6 processor to replace the iPad 2′s dual-core A5 chip and will also have a battery as high as 14,000 mAH to support the anticipated HD screen and a more powerful processor.

However, since the entire world is almost holding its breath in anticipation of the iPad 3 features, Apple will not dishearten the iTV watchers too. The next generation Apple TV will pack some revolutionary features to provide an extraordinary TV watching experience to its viewers.

Apple iTV Features

According to various rumors, this time Apple will launch the iTV in three different screen sizes, ranging from 32 inches to 55 inches.

The new Apple TV will include a faster processor, possibly a variation of the dual-core A5 chip - A5X. The A5X chip is a dual-core processor that also includes an improved graphics engine. However, it is not yet confirmed whether Apple will still maintain a dual-core processor or introduce a new quad-core A6 processor.

Apple will also bring in a cloud-based TV service while other rumors suggest that Apple might possibly include a redesigned Bluetooth 4.0 remote control and Siri support to allow users to toss away remotes, enabling voice to turn televisions on and off or change channels. This new Apple iTV is also expected to launch a new 1080P movie service from Apple's iTunes Store.

Meanwhile, rumors are rife that Apple will provide a mystery accessory with the new iPads and Apple iTV. According to 9to5mac, that accessory is called B82″ internally. The site has described the accessory as a product that could be either a cable, a cover, or a new audio remote.
