Alleged leaked images from iPhoneros (via 9to5Mac ) show the upcoming iPhone 8 with a bezel-less screen display and a Touch ID placed on the rear of the device. The photos show the Touch ID placed underneath the Apple logo on the back of the phone.

The images, which could be a prototype of Apple, were leaked by a source in China, the site said. iPhoneros said the source has previously sent over images that were proved accurate on multiple occasions, adding the individual has never sent them false information. The iPhone 8 is expected to be unveiled in September, as usual, but may face release date delays due to the nature of these new designs.

Meanwhile, leaker Benjamin Geskin also shared the images and said they were fake.

There have been previous rumors and leaked images that show a Touch ID on the back of the iPhone 8. Last week, images posted on Chinese social platform Weibo showed the button on the rear of the device, also underneath the Apple logo. A schematic of the iPhone 8 leaked in April by Sonny Dickson shows a circular hole underneath the Apple logo, which suggests the device could come with a Touch ID placement on the back of the device, like it’s placed on Samsung’s recently released Galaxy S8.

Other reports claim the iPhone 8 will come with an edge-to-edge screen display with an embedded Touch ID on the front of the device. Apple was granted a patent for an edge-to-edge display and another patent for a Touch ID embedded in the display screen, it was discovered last month. Also in May, leaked images of alleged iPhone 8 molds suggested the device will not come with a Touch ID on the back.

However, it seems like Apple is struggling with the feature. An analyst from Cowen and Co. previously said in April the embedded Touch ID was the feature Apple was having the most trouble. The analyst, Timothy Arcuri, gave three possible solutions Apple could take to address the problem: ditch the Touch ID and rely on face recognition technology, move the Touch ID to the back of the phone, or delay production of the iPhone 8 but still announce it this fall alongside the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus.

The leaked iPhone 8 images also show a vertically-aligned dual-camera system on the back of the phone, which has been previously rumored before. The new look would differ from the current horizontal placement on the iPhone 7 Plus.

Apple’s 10th-anniversary phone, which could also be called the iPhone X, iPhone Pro or iPhone Edition, is also rumored to come with a 3D-sensing front camera and wireless charging. The phone is expected to feature an OLED display. Apple was said to have placed orders for OLED panels from Samsung for the iPhone 8.

Previous reports have said iPhone 8 price will set you back more than $1,000.
