Apple and major U.S. carriers began taking pre-orders for the iPhone X on Friday, and some were disappointed when seeing the long shipping waits. However, customers are now seeing an improvement in their delivery dates, according to MacRumors and users on Reddit.

The iPhone X is currently available for pre-order in 55 countries and territories. The 64GB model is priced at $999, while the 256GB version is selling for $1,149.

Apple’s site currently says the iPhone X will ship in five to six weeks. However, those who were up at late hours pre-ordering the device have a one-to-two week delivery date. Now Apple is working to get the iPhone X to customers quicker. Some customers that had an estimated delivery date between Nov. 10 and Nov. 17 have seen the date switch to Nov. 3 — a week or more in advance. The improved shipping dates seem to be happening with T-Mobile customers and those who purchased the device on Apple.com, according to comments on Reddit and MacRumors.

As for Sprint, the company was telling customers who pre-ordered the iPhone X that the device will be delivered by Nov. 3. However, those who ordered the 256GB iPhone X 256GB in Space Gray after 11 a.m. CT on Oct. 27 will receive the device by Nov. 14.

Verizon’s website says the iPhone X will ship by Dec. 1 to customers who placed an order on Friday afternoon and onwards. AT&T has the longest wait for the iPhone X.

The company has said on its site since Friday afternoon the smartphone will be delivered between Dec. 4 and Dec. 18. AT&T says shipping dates are “subject to change,” which means the date could improve like it did with other customers.

iPhone X Store Availability

Those who didn’t place a pre-order have a chance to pick up the device at the Apple Store. Apple said last week the iPhone X will be available to walk-in customers at Apple Stores on Nov. 3 at 8 a.m. local times.

Apple encouraged customers to arrive early to get their hands on the device. Recent reports have said Apple is releasing the iPhone X in limited quantities because of trouble with the device’s production. Manufacturers were reportedly struggling with the 3D sensors for the new Face ID, the smartphone’s main feature.

Apple said on Friday customer demand for the new device is “off the charts.”

Apple told International Business Times in a statement:

"We are thrilled to be taking orders for iPhone X, the future of the smartphone. We can see from the initial response, customer demand is off the charts. We’re working hard to get this revolutionary new product into the hands of every customer who wants one, as quickly as possible. We will keep accepting orders online, and iPhone X will be available at Apple retail stores on Friday, November 3 starting at 8 a.m., as well as from our carrier and retailer partners around the world.”
