RTTNews - Ireland's manufacturing output dropped 6.8% year-on-year in March, faster than a 1.7% fall in February, a report by the Central Statistics Office said Thursday.

Month-on-month, manufacturing output rose a seasonally adjusted 3.8% in March, reversing a 3% decline in the preceding month.

Output of all industries fell 6.9% annually in March, but increased 3% on a seasonally adjusted basis from February.

Meanwhile, industrial turnover dropped 5% annually in March compared to a 6.2% decline in February. Compared to the previous month, industrial turnover was up a seasonally adjusted 8% in March, in contrast to a 5.6% fall in February.
