Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has agreed to end attacks against Palestinian group Hamas but will keep troops there for now, according to a report.

Israeli leaders voted to stop the attacks during a meeting on Saturday, the Associated Press reported.

The ceasefire will not end Hamas' resistance, a spokesman told Reuters.
