The wife of an Israeli diplomat and her driver were injured Monday when the car they were traveling in was bombed in New Delhi, India, with Israeli leaders accusing Iran of responsibility for the attack.

The attack took place at around 3:20 pm IST and no one has immediately claimed responsibility for the attacks. However, Israel pointed fingers at Hezbollah, which receives funding and strong support from Iran and which also had promised to avenge the assassination of one of its leaders, Imad Moughniyeh, who was killed in a car bombing in Damascus on Feb. 12, 2008.

In the past few months we have witnessed several attempts to attack Israeli citizens and Jews in a number of places — Azerbaijan, Thailand and others, said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a statement. In each of those cases we managed to thwart the attacks with the cooperation of local officials. In all of those cases, those who stood behind the attacks were Iran and its proxy, Hezbollah, he added.

Also in another incident a bomb was defused outside the Israeli Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia, about the same time.
