Hourly wages in Italy rose 0.1% month-on-month in March after rising 0.3% in February, the statistical office ISTAT said Wednesday. Meanwhile, economists had expected no growth in March. On an annual basis, hourly wages climbed 3.5% in March, the same pace recorded in the previous month.

The index of wages according to collective agreements per employee was flat on a monthly basis, while rose 3.5% over the previous year.
