RTTNews - Italy's hourly wages increased 0.1% month-on-month in April, the statistical institute ISTAT said Wednesday. Year-on-year, the wages were up 3.5%.

On a monthly basis, the hourly wages increased the most in textiles, clothing and leather processing, by 2.1%. Apart from this, hourly wages grew 0.4% in wood and paper printing, information and communication services as also in rubber, plastic and other non-metallic mineral. On a yearly basis, the fastest growth in wages was in construction, at 6.7%.

Meanwhile, the hourly wages grew 3.7% in the January to April period compared to the same period in the previous year.
