The Italian industrial production surged to 1.0% in July

Italy's industrial production seasonally adjusted for July soared to 1.0%, higher than median expectations of 0.4% and the revised of -0.6% from -1.2%. On the year, the working-day-adjusted readingrose to -18.2%relative to-21.0% projected and -21.9% prior, before being revised to -21.6%.
As for the annual non-seasonally-adjusted reading, it came in at -17.5% from -19.7% that was revised to -19.4%.
Federal Communications Commission chairman Ajit Pai announced broadband subsidies provided to the poor through the commission's Lifeline program won't be expanded until states have the ability to oversee the program.
