RTTNews - Italian retail sales fell 0.4% month-on-month in June after a revised increase of 0.1% in May, statistical office Istat said Monday. Economists had forecast retail sales to grow 0.2%.

Compared to the previous year, retail sales were down 0.8% following a revised drop of 2.5% in the prior month, while sales were expected to fall 1.9%. June marked the fifth straight month of negative growth in retail sales.
