RTTNews - Industrial turnover in Italy remained flat month-on-month in April, the statistical office ISTAT said Monday. Domestic turnover rose 1.1%, but export turnover fell 2.6%. At the same time, new orders declined on a monthly basis.

Year-on-year, industrial turnover was down 22.2%, reflecting a 19.4% drop in domestic turnover and a 28.9% fall in export turnover.

Meanwhile, industrial new orders slipped 3.7% on a monthly basis in April, with the domestic turnover falling 4% and export turnover declining 3%. On a yearly basis, new orders were down 32.2%. Domestic orders dropped 30.1%, while export turnover dipped 36.4%.

In the four months ended April, industrial turnover slipped 22.3%, while new orders decreased 22.4% compared to the same period in the previous year.
