RTTNews - Italy's consumer price annual inflation slowed to 0.5% in June from 0.9% in May, a provisional report from the statistical office Istat showed Tuesday. Economists had expected the rate to ease to 0.7%.

On a monthly basis, the consumer price index rose 0.1% in the month following the 0.2% increase in May.

The harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP climbed 0.2% month-on-month in June and rose 0.6% annually.
