Robert Buckley doesn’t mind appearing on another zombie series.

During the two-hour Season 2 finale of “Fear the Walking Dead” on Sunday night, a fan took to Twitter to tell Mercedes Mason that she’s petitioning for “iZombie” actor Robert Buckley to guest star on the AMC zombie drama.

Mason, who plays Ofelia on the “Walking Dead” companion series, responded to the fan tweet, writing: “Bucks should be Ofelia’s new love interest! @robertbuckley and I would spend the whole time laughing and getting nothing done @FearTWD.”

“I’m 100% on board with this,” replied Buckley, who portrays college football player-turned-social worker-turned-zombie on the CW’s zom-com-rom-dram series. “And fortunately, zombie-work falls within my tremendously limited range as an actor. #NoBrainer #ZombiePun.”

“So it’s settled,” wrote Mason in a follow-up tweet to Buckley. “We’ll play conjoined twins with a shared penchant for zombie slaughter and ramen noodles. Make it so @FearTWD.”

While the exchange of tweets between the two actors was obviously just for fun, Buckley definitely has the acting prowess necessary for a heavy drama like “Fear the Walking Dead.” In fact, “iZombie” executive producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright gushed about the 35-year-old actor’s versatility in an interview with Hollywood Life last year.

“Buckley had played a lot of the pretty roles. People didn’t know he was a good actor, that he had this other side to him: he’s funny as hell [but] he too can have an edge to him,” Ruggiero-Wright said of Buckley at the time.”He has range, [but] people look at him and they see eyebrows and abs, and they don’t realize that.”
