Just days after his last minute appearance at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival following the cancellation of folk group Mumford & Sons due to a health scare, singer Jack Johnson officially announced the tour dates for his 2013 tour this week.

In an effort to promote his latest album, “From Here To Now To You,” Johnson revealed plans to tour in the U.S., Canada and several European cities starting this fall. The 38-year-old "Banana Pancakes" singer, announced the upcoming performances on his website telling fans that he is “excited to hit the road,” and play his new songs live. The tour, which kicks off in Cologne, Germany on Sep. 5 and finishes in Santa Barbara, Calif. on Oct 20, will also stop at over 20 cities along the way.

In an effort to give fans of the longtime singer a fair chance to receive tickets to the shows, and because of Johnson’s desire to play the “most beautiful and intimate” theatres throughout the two month tour, tickets will be sold utilizing a lottery service for performances in the U.S. and Canada. Fans are allowed one entry for one ticket on their day and venue of choice until June 24 at 10 a.m. when winners of the randomly-selected contest will be announced.

The only U.S. tour date with tickets available for purchase is the singer’s Sep. 22 performance at the Life is Good Festival in Boston, Mass. Tickets for Johnson’s Sep. 8 concert at Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam are also currently available for sale. All other European tour dates are not yet available for purchase. Only one of the singer’s Europe performances, the Sep. 16 show at the iTunes Festival in London, is utilizing the lottery system.

The Hawaiian-native folk singer last hit the stage on Saturday at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tenn., replacing the headlining band Mumford & Son after their bassist, Ted Dwayne, was unable to perform after surgery following the discovery of a blood clot in his brain. Johnson discussed the last-minute gig on his Facebook page last week saying he was excited to play the festival with his band and “happy” to know the musician was on the road to recovery.
