Jack White performed for the first time solo on Saturday Night Live on Saturday as Lindsay Lohan hosted. This was White's second performance on the SNL stage--he performed once before with his former band, The White Stripes.

White took the opportunity to play his first solo single, Love Interruption, and also debut a new song, Sixteen Saltines, rather than play songs from his previous projects, which have included The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and most recently The Dead Weather.

The new album, White's first solo LP, is titled Blunderbuss, and will be released on April 23, according to an announcement made by the singer. Now that he's done rocking SNL, White will launch his first solo tour with four scheduled stops at Chattanooga Track 29 (March 10), Birmingham WorkPlay Soundstage (March 12), Memphis New Daisy Theatre (March 13), Tulsa Cain's Ballroom (March 15). The album's first single, Love Interruption, already has a music video.
