iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak
iOS 5.0.1 Untethered Jailbreak Apple

Now jailbreak your iPhone in 80 seconds flat, with Redsn0w 0.9.9b7.

Redsn0w 0.9.9b7, the latest version, has been announced by the Dev-Team. According to the developers, this version promises to speed up the jailbreak by disabling the application stashing process. The new tool will increase the speed of jailbreaking by 60 percent. The earlier version, Redsn0w 0.9.9b6, used to take 210 seconds to jailbreak whereas the new version will take only 80 seconds, reports Dev-Team.

Redsn0w 0.9.9b7 is not a major update from its last version and will be available both for the OS X and Windows. The tool, however, will support only iOS 5, so owners of an iPhone 4S or iPad 2 will have to wait till the jailbreaking community develops an updated version of jailbreak.

Like its predecessors, Redsn0w 0.9.9b7 is also a tethered jailbreak so you will have to plug your device to your PC or MAC every time you boot the device. Once the battery dies, to recover the jailbreak application, you need to reconnect the device to computer.

A few simple steps and you can perform tethered jailbreak using Redsn0w 0.9.9b7.

First Step - Before downloading the application, backup all important data you have in your device.

Second Step - Download and install iOS 5 from iTunes. Now download the Redsn0w 0.9.9b7 tool using any either one of these Operating Systems - For Microsoft Windows or For Mac.

Third Step - Once installed, open Redsn0w and select the Jailbreak option

Fourth Step - Uncheck the rest of the option boxes. Sync your device.

Finally, click on the Just boot option and you will be done.
