James Franco is reprising his role as a performing artist on the ABC soap General Hospital, People.com reported.

The 32-year-old actor, who is hosting the Academy Awards with actress Anne Hathaway will appear on the daytime drama on episodes airing Feb. 25 and Feb. 28. According to a statement released by ABC, Franco's character will wreak havoc on the fictional town of Port Charles. The statement also said that in the episodes, Franco's character will make an important phone call to his nemesis Jason Morgan, played by actor Steve Burton.

Franco, who is nominated for an Academy Award for his role as Aron Ralston in 127 Hours, had a two-month stint on General Hospital. He played the role of a mysterious and dangerous performance artist named Franco.

At the time Franco told People that working on General Hospital was a great experience for him.

I love the cast, writers, directors and producers. Hey have become a new family for me, the actor said.
