James Marsden is finally addressing rumors that he is the father of January Jones’ son. In 2011, the “Mad Men” star gave birth to Xander Dane Jones, and since then, the media have questioned the identity of his father. The 35-year-old blonde has refused to disclose his name, saying details about her personal life take away from her professional career.

“As an actor, if people know too many things about you they won't believe you in a certain character. You don't want people to have a preconceived notion of who you are,” she told Net-a-Porter's 'The Edit' in May.

One prime suspect for Jones’ baby daddy is Marsden, who, like Jones, starred in the “X-Men” films, though they were in separate X-Men movies. In an interview with Playboy magazine, the 40-year-old actor admits that Jones jokes with him that he is Xander’s father, though it is not true. "Every time I see January, she's like, 'Hey, father of my baby,'" he reveals.

"There's so much stupid talk out there," he continued. "I think that came from somebody thinking we were both in 'X-Men,' so it must be true." Matthew Vaughn, the director of “X-Men: First Class,” the film Jones appeared in, was also rumored to be the father of Jones’ son by E! Online. Her ex, Jason Sudeikis, was also speculated to be the father, as was restaurateur Bobby Flay, after she called him for help when she crashed her car two years ago.
