Big changes are in store for the Villanueva girls in “Jane the Virgin” Season 3. Lead star Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) is newly married, but her husband Michael Cordero (Brett Dier) is fighting for his life in the hospital.

As for Jane’s mother Xo (Andrea Navedo), she is going to be a mother a second time around. But TV Guide has just revealed that pregnancy isn’t going to be Xo’s only focus next season.

Xo will reportedly land a very important audition for the popular singing competition “The Voice,” therefore taking one step closer to her dream of becoming a singer.

As happy as this big break might be, Jane will not have enough energy to feel excited for her mom. She is going to be extremely worried about the fate of Michael, who hopefully survives his shooting attack.

But whether or not Michael lives or dies, showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman has confirmed with Entertainment Weekly that Jane will finally be losing her virginity this Season 3.

“She does lose her virginity this year,” she said. “It’s in the first half of the season, and it’s quite a big episode for us.”

When this finally happens, Rodriguez said Jane will be undergoing some mental and emotional changes.

“How is [losing her virginity] going to play into her life, her psychology, how she views herself and how she views her intimacy?” said Rodriguez. “There’s an evolution.”

With so many exciting things to look forward to next season, Justin Baldoni, who plays hotelier Rafael Solano, told the Huffington Post that fans better buckle their seatbelts because it’s going to be one exhilarating ride.

“All I can tell you is that it’s going to be crazy! Season three is going to be crazier than season two, which was crazier than season one...so get ready!” he said.

“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
