Jane the Virgin
People are really anxious over the huge character death in “Jane the Virgin” Season 4. The CW

Nobody likes to see their favorite characters die in any TV series, but The CW show “Jane the Virgin” is going to deal fans with a heavy blow this Season 4 since the Narrator already hinted that an important character will die.

The Narrator said in the second episode this season that fate will deal one beloved character a heavy blow. This could either be Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni), Alba Villanueva (Ivonne Col), Petra Solano (Yael Grobglas), Luisa Solano (Yara Martinez), Anezka (Yael Grobglas), or Magda (Priscilla Barnes).

During the past few episodes, fans have waited for the ball to drop. But nothing happened. When asked about this huge character death, show creator Jennie Snyder Urman told Variety that fans will learn “very soon” who he or she will be. “You’ll have some idea at the end of the next episode, but it will all be clear by the fall finale,” she teased.

It would be heartbreaking to lose a major character, be it Rafael, Alba or Petra. After the death of Michael Cordero (Brett Dier), it would be difficult for Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) to endure loss again.

During an interview with TV Guide, Baldoni ruled out Rafael’s death since he said his character still has another transformation along the way.

“What I love about it is our creator is never going to abandon Rafael. He’s not going to stay a douche. I don’t believe that’s what they’re going for,” he said. “I believe that Rafael is a story of redemption as well. He’s a man that, thanks to Jane, is seeing sides of himself that he’s never had a chance to see. He’s getting a chance to grow and step out of that toxic behavior and to become a much more heart-centered man, and that’s really who he is.”

As for Jane and Rafael getting back together, Baldoni said now isn’t the right time for them to rekindle their relationship. However, he wouldn’t rule it out in the future.

He told Hollywood Life: “There’s a chance they could be endgame. But I mean, I don’t know. We’ll see. There’s a few more years left.”

“Jane the Virgin” Season 4 airs every Friday on The CW at 9 p.m. EDT.
