Yael Grobglas has delivered all sorts of crazy as Petra Solano and her twin sister Anezka in The CW’s “Jane the Virgin,” but the actress might give those characters a run for their money as she is set to make a splash in the second season of another CW show called “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, Grobglas will appear in the show’s fourth episode as Trina, who is described as a “dynamic young businesswoman” who hires Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) and the Whitefeather folks to represent her firm. Because of that decision, Trina “sets Rebecca’s life on a surprising new course.”

During the season 2 finale of “Jane the Virgin,” Petra was tricked by her twin sister Anezka, who managed to switch places with her and even seduce Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni). Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman earlier told Deadline that the switch was actually the plan hatched by Magda, Petra and Anezka’s mother.

“She got in touch with Anezka once she realized Petra could and would sell her out (back in season 1). In fact, we have a very elaborate backstory detailing how and when Magda contacted Anezka, but we ended up having too much story — and so we will have to unpack that in season 3,” she said.

Anezka will be trying to convince Rafael to sign over the Marbella to her, then get her mother out of jail. But with Anezka developing real feelings for Rafael, she might be torn with her devious plan.

As for Michael Cordero (Brett Dier), his fate also hangs in the balance since he was shot during the season 2 finale. Gina Rodriguez, the actress who plays lead character Jane Gloriana Villanueva, was hard pressed for any spoilers about Michael’s true status.

“I think you're going to see Michael. I don't know if he's alive or dead, but you're going to see him,” she told Wet Paint.

“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. on The CW.
