RTTNews - Japan's automobile production dropped 47.1% year-on-year in April to 485,405 units, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said Friday. This is the seventh consecutive month of fall.

Domestic sales of automobiles fell 23% annually to 284,035 units, while the exports dipped 64.7% to 206,456 units.

Meanwhile, motorcycle production decreased 34.7% year-on-year in April to 49,642 units, down for the twentieth consecutive month. Domestic sales declined 22.2% to 35,540 units, while exports slipped 24.5% to 56,542 units.
