RTTNews - Japan is scheduled to release final April numbers for industrial production and May consumer confidence data on Friday, headlining a modest day for Asian economic activity.

Little change is expected from the preliminary reading for industrial production, which showed a 34.2 percent decline on year and a 1.6 percent gain on month. Consumer confidence is predicted to show an index score of 33.5, up from 32.4 in April.

China will announce May figures for industrial production and retail sales. Output is expected to gain 7.7 percent on year after the 7.3 percent annual expansion in April. Retail sales are seen higher by 15 percent on year after the 14.8 percent gain on year in the previous month.

Thailand will provide foreign reserves data for the week ending June 5. Forecasts call for an increase of 109.8 percent on year after the 121.5 percent annual expansion in the previous week.
