Japan is scheduled to release preliminary figures for industrial production in February, headlining a light day for Asian economic news. Also on tap are numbers for February vehicle production.
On an annual basis, industrial production is forecast to ease 38.1 percent on year after the 31 percent decline in January. On month, output is called lower by 9.1 percent after the 10.2 percent contraction in the previous month. Vehicle production was off 41 percent on year in January.
Also, South Korea will announce February numbers for its current account, with analysts predicting a surplus of $5.2 billion following the $1.4 billion deficit in January.
