Japan is set to release final numbers for its leading index for February, headlining a light day for Asian economic news. Analysts are expecting a score of 77.2 after the preliminary index reading of 75.2. Also, the final coincident index is expected to come in at 86.0 after the preliminary reading of 86.8. Finally, Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa is scheduled to speak at a trust banks meeting in Tokyo.

Hong Kong will announce seasonally adjusted unemployment figures for March. Analysts are expecting the rate to climb to 5.3 percent from 5.0 percent in February.
