RTTNews - Japan is set to release preliminary April readings for its leading and coincident indexes on Tuesday, setting the pace for a light day in Asian economic news. Japan also will announce preliminary May figures for machine tool orders.

The leading index is forecast to show a score of 77.2, up from 76.3 in March. The coincident is expected to come in at 86, up from 85.1 in the previous month. Machine tool orders have no forecast, but they fell 80.4 percent on year in April.

South Korea will announce May numbers for its producer price index. Analysts are predicting a 0.6 percent increase on year, easing from the 1.5 percent annual expansion in April.
