Video from Japan in the aftermath Friday's 8.9 magnitude quake shows office workers in Yokohama, several hundreds of miles southwest of the quake's epicenter, running to escape falling debris.

The video begins as a television reporter attempts to relay information.

However soon thereafter debris begins falling in the distance as office workers run to prevent being hit.

While the reporter attempts to continue speak, the cameraman changes direction and they cross the street as the camera pans to look for more falling debris.

The video ends with more office workers rushing accross the street to what looks to be a park.

The quake began at 2:46 p.m. local time off the northeastern coast of Japan, triggering a tsunami which has killed hundreds of people, according to authorities.
