Japan is scheduled to release retail trade numbers for March, headlining a light Tuesday in Asian economic news.

Analysts are expecting a decline of 4.7 percent on year following the revised 5.7 percent annual decline in February. Seasonally adjusted, retail trade is expected lower by 0.4 percent on month after the revised 0.2 percent contraction in the previous month. Large retailers are expected to fall 7.8 percent on year after the revised 8.1 percent annual decline a month earlier.
