Japan's domestic automobile sales dropped 31.5% year-on-year in March to 323,063 units, the Japan Automobile Dealers' Association said Wednesday. In February, vehicle sales were down 32.4%. Automobile sales declined for the eighth consecutive month in March.

In March, sales of passenger cars dropped 30.9%, while those of trucks and buses slipped 37.2% and 6.5% respectively.
