Japan's current account surplus widened to 2534.2 billion yen in March compared with a previous surplus of 1470.6 billion yen, and it topped analysts' estimates of 2173.6 billion yen. The adjusted current account surplus widened to 1773.1 billion yen compared with a prior revised 1067.5 billion yen from 1119.0 billion yen, and forecasts referred to 1506.0 billion yen.

On the other hand, the trade balance surplus widened to 1074.7 billion yen from a previous surplus of 778.0 billion yen, but it came below market projections of 1077.2 billion yen.
