Beyonce found herself in the middle of a brawl Sunday night following the VMA Awards. Though she skipped out on the event, which was held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, she attended an after-party held by her husband, Jay Z, who also missed the show, and P.Diddy.

The swanky after-hours celebration was held at PH-D rooftop lounge in lower Manhattan and was attended by top artists such as Pharell Williams, Rihanna, Drake, Justin Timberlake and J.Cole. While there, however, drama ensued after J.Cole said inappropriate things to Diddy and his girlfriend, Cassie, the NY Post reports.

The 27-year-old singer, whose last album was released in 2006, recently covered "GQ" magazine, in a spread rightly called "Diddy's Girl." Cassie had been rumored to be dating Bad Boy Record’s P.Diddy for years but neither addressed the speculation initially. In August, the rumors increased after she was spotted topless on a yacht with Diddy while on vacation in Cannes and St. Tropez.

But in September, Diddy finally confirmed the rumors, tweeting a picture of Cassie with the photo caption, “I’m a very lucky man #knowthat.”

“Finally. You guys make a nice couple,” one fan wrote in response. Cassie proceeded to tweet a picture of Diddy with the caption, “love him.” The 42-year-old entrepreneur has five children from previous relationships.

It is speculated that J. Cole made comments toward Cassie that Diddy did not take well. Diddy immediately got angry, and there were pushes and shoves as bottles ended up on the ground and partygoers were knocked over. “We were all dancing and the fight breaks out, and it happened so quickly and bottles were crashing everywhere, and everyone was screaming. People got pushed into bottles,” a guest told the New York Daily News.

Jay Z allegedly yelled at the two artists and told them to stop fighting. “It was mayhem. Beyoncé was yelling to stop and Jay Z was separating people and getting people away from Bey,” another source said.

However, the fiasco died down and Diddy removed himself from the drama and proceeded to welcome people to the event and wish his girlfriend a happy birthday. “It’s all cool! Ya’ll keep having fun! It’s no big deal, it’s over,” the entrepreneur told guests.
