Ben Affleck and Jenifer Garner are currently in the Bahamas for a family reunion, days after confirming reports about their divorce. On Tuesday, the two announced -- a day before their tenth anniversary -- that they were separated for 10 months before they decided to end their marriage.

Their daughters, Violet and Seraphina, and son, Samuel, will be joining the two for the vacation, E! News reported. A report from Us Weekly, which first confirmed the news of the trip, said, citing sources that after the official separation, Affleck will continue to live at their Brentwood property, but in a separate house from Garner. The report added that they are planning to settle their split amicably through mediation, without a court intervention.

"They got the kids out of L.A. as soon as school was out," a source told Us Weekly Thursday, adding: "[The Bahamas] is a place they’ve been going to for years that’s very private and special for their kids. When either of them have had work commitments they have been leaving to go fulfill them."

Garner and Affleck will also reportedly follow in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay singer Chris Martin, who, after their divorce, took to “conscious uncoupling” last year. Paltrow and Affleck dated between 1997 and 2000.

"They are going to try and model their divorce like Gwyneth and Chris," the source told Us Weekly, adding: "They feel like they have to be mature adults for their children's sake and that they will figure out the healthiest way to co-parent. They want the kids lives to stay the same and to not have to change just because they aren't going to be married anymore."

Announcing their separation, the two had released a statement early this week. "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding," it said.

According to some reports, Affleck’s drinking and gambling led to the divorce. Other reports suggested that Jennifer Lopez, to whom Affleck was once engaged, was back in his life. However, a report by TMZ snubbed the reports, saying that Lopez's name was not mentioned by either Affleck or Garner.
