Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are working towards maintaining a cordial relationship after filing for divorce last week, TMZ reported late Sunday. The news comes the same day the former couple was photographed attending Easter Sunday church service with their kids.

According to TMZ sources, Affleck is currently dating but "not seriously" and the "Gone Girl" star also moved into a new home after leaving his family guest house. Since announcing their split, Affleck had been staying in their guesthouse in Pacific Palisades.

“Ben will move out and is looking for a property close by so they can continue to coparent as they have been,” an insider previously told Us Weekly. “He will move out when he finds the right place.”

While there have been several rumors over the last few months about Affleck and Garner's alleged reconciliation, sources close to both the stars told TMZ that the 44-year-old actor's stint in rehab was a difficult phase for the family and this was the time when Garner decided to end the marriage.

The divorce filing came just weeks after Affleck admitted to seeking treatment for alcohol addiction in rehab.

“I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I’ve dealt with in the past and will continue to confront,” he revealed in a Facebook post.

In the new report, TMZ also reported that the ex-couple will have to spend some time figuring out the division of assets as both did not sign any prenup at the time of their marriage. The asset split could also result in a delay in divorce finalization and end up taking more than six months.

Steven Mindel, a family law specialist, told People magazine that the divorce filing took almost two years as Affleck and Garner has to get all the details of their assets in order.

“There is a huge document that has to be put together that specifies all their assets and business deals,” Mindel said. “It’s a long process. They most likely have a marital settlement agreement that wouldn’t be made public or a co-parenting agreement that again would not be public.“

Affleck and Garner have both requesting joint and legal custody of their children — Violet, 11, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, 8, and Samuel, 5.
