Jennifer Lopez will be bringing a drama called "The Fosters" to television screens, according to ABC Family. The program, centered on a group of biological and foster children of multiple ethnicities being raised by two mothers, will be an hourlong. The show was created by Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige.

Another hourlong drama, entitled "Socio," is scheduled to go into production, as well. This show will focus on a troubled teenager dealing with sociopathic tendencies. The teen finds himself at the center of a murder investigation after reconnecting with his two female best friends from childhood.

"ABC Family continues to find and develop original programming that adds new dimension and depth to the storytelling we offer," Kate Juergens, ABC Family's executive vice president of original programming and development, said in a release. "Both these shows are headed by wonderful executive producers who know the millennial space well and know how to connect with audiences."
